4 days of Trekking along the wonderful "Via del Sale" passing from the plain to the sea along paths as historical as they are wild. Paths from the Roman era and historic villages among unique landscapes. A historical journey that will truly leave us breathless at every step.

The Antica Via del Sale is a naturalistic but above all historical route since it was already used in ancient times by merchants of sea salt and merchants of all kinds as a communication route between Genoa and all of Liguria in general and Lombardy in particular Milan.
We will go along a path that is not at all trivial (despite the not high altitudes) that will put our resistance to the test as it happened for the men of the time. Wild nature and small villages still inhabited together with a wonderful 360 ° view of the plain first and then the sea will accompany our entire journey.
We will pass by the summit of Monte Antola (1597mt above sea level), a real watershed of 3 regions (Liguria, Lombardy and Emilia Romagna) where it is possible to admire a truly unique panorama.
Days Details:
1st Day: from Varzi to Capanne di Cosola (21 km and 1500mt difference in altitude +).
2nd Day: from Capanne di Cosola to Monte Antola (18 km and 770mt difference in altitude +).
Day 3: from Monte Antola to Uscio (26 km and 790mt difference in altitude +).
4th Day: from Uscio to Portofino / Camogli (18 km and 650mt difference in altitude +).

Difference in altitude: 3800 meters overall to be divided into 4 stages
Length: 85 km overall to be divided into 4 stages
Walking hours: about 8 hours a day with stops and a lunch break.
Departure time for excursions: 8.00 - 8.30
Packed lunch.
Overnight stays: in hotel or B&B
How to get there: Meeting at 5.00 am at the parking of the Hotel Cristal Palace (BG).
Or directly in Varzi (PV) at 7.30 am at the free parking near the market square.
Participation fee:
Adults: 390 euros
Children aged 15 to 18 accompanied by an adult: 250 euros.
The fee includes: planning and drafting of the itinerary, professional accompaniment with a guide, insurance, overnight stay with breakfast and transert to return to Pavia.
The fee does not include: return travel expenses, food expenses, anything that does not appear in the item "the fee includes".
Recommended clothing: suitable for the season, hiking boots, backpack, waterproof cape, spare t-shirts, sweatshirt, light long pants, swimsuit, spare parts, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, food (bars or similar), 2 liters of water and a camera.
